TITLE: CONCERNED TIDE POOLS (2020):
ARTIST: BRIAN A. BERNHARD
Ink and Watercolors on Archival Paper
Mounted in a hand-cut 16” x 20” white matte.

This one hits close to home and mother nature is pissed! Once upon a time, the tide pools around the Palos Verdes Peninsula were ripe and overflowing with sea-life. However, due to developing the area, climate change, irresponsible tourism and people treating the tide pools as a seafood buffet … there is barely anything left living. There are a few spots, which are a little tricky to get to, where some sea creatures are trying their best to make a home, but its touch and go…way too many people just can’t seem to keep their hands to themselves and allow these tiny sea communities to flourish.
